About the role
- Serves as finance business partner and advisor for a smaller line of business or product segment.
- Provides management reporting, business analytics, and guidance to support target setting, performance management, and improved growth and profitability.
- Ensures the needs of the business are met by the services Finance provides.
- Coordinates across Finance and other advisory services supporting the business to ensure integration in financial reporting and analysis activities.
- Works with client and financial planning and analysis teams to suggest improvements to financial analytics and reporting to better assist the business in making decisions. Identifies areas where further analysis is needed.
- Provides guidance on the development of key performance indicators.
- Participates in goal setting activities for the business.
- Provides financial advice on the development of strategic and operating plans for the business.
- Partners with Human Resources to effectively manage human capital costs and workforce planning initiatives.
- Manages a team of highly professional staff to include their development and performance management.
- Manages financial resources of the team (budgets, expenses, compensation decisions, etc.).
- Serves as the key finance partner for assigned business or product segment.
- Responsible for achievement of functional FP&A goals and objectives for a small line of business or product segment. Modified based upon local regulations/requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MBA or CFA preferred.
- 2-15 years of total work experience with 3-5 years of management experience preferred.
