Oversees property tax compliance, consulting, and appeal services for assigned clients.
Maintains client relationships and focuses on property tax management and minimization opportunities.
Leads team in preparing annual property tax filings, evaluating appeal positions, and managing the appeal process.
Enforces policies, standards and guidelines; researches tax issues; reviews valuations of real and personal property; negotiates settlements related to assessment reduction; prepares and presents assessment appeals and supporting litigation.
Creates positive team member experiences, delivering excellent client service and driving revenue and firm profitability.
Leads business development, maintains existing clients, and supports cross-selling efforts.
Supervises and mentors staff; ensures workload distribution and performance feedback.
Adapts to hybrid in-office requirement: two days/week in busy season.
Requirements
University Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Real Estate, Business Management or other degree with MBA, MST or JD required and at least seven years property tax related experience required.
Candidates with appropriate valuation designations preferred.
Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.
Valid driver’s license required. Manager should maintain professional designations such as Certified Member of the Institute (CMI), and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), or equivalent, and keep active in professional organizations on a local and national level.
Masters or Bachelors Degree in Real Estate/ Finance/ Commerce/ Accounting/ Business
5+ years of experience in International accounting and Finance domain.
Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
