About the role
- Provide ASL interpretation services as a freelance 1099 interpreter
- Interpret in various settings and adapt to different work environments
- Accept assignments based on personal availability; appointments are Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
- Complete required documents, skills assessment, onboarding, and background checks
- Facilitate language access and bridge communication for clients regardless of English proficiency
Requirements
- Exhibit proficiency in ASL (American Sign Language)
- Willing to complete ASL assessment by a Certified ASL Professional (exceptions can be made with proven work history and certifications)
- Complete all required documents in a timely manner
- Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments
- Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (We do not offer visa sponsorship)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Operate as a freelance 1099 Independent Contractor
- Availability Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
- Willingness to complete skills assessment and background check
