About the role
- Provide ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation to bridge communication gaps for clients
- Operate as a freelance interpreter in a 1099 Independent Contractor role
- Set your own availability and accept appointments based on your schedule
- Work in various settings and adapt to different work environments
- Appointments available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm; appointments are not guaranteed
- Complete skills assessment, background check, and onboarding if qualified
Requirements
- Exhibit proficiency in ASL (American Sign Language)
- Willing to complete ASL (American Sign Language) assessment by as Certified ASL Professional (exceptions can be made with proven work history and certifications)
- Complete all required documents in a timely manner
- Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments
- Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (We do not offer visa sponsorship)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
