About the role
- Provide ASL interpretation services in professional and volunteer settings
- Operate as a freelance 1099 Independent Contractor, set your availability and accept appointments based on schedule
- Accept appointments Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm as offered (appointments not guaranteed)
- Complete skills assessment, background check, and onboarding to join linguist network
- Adapt to different settings and work environments; rates vary based on availability, experience, and demand
Requirements
- Exhibit proficiency in ASL (American Sign Language)
- Willing to complete ASL assessment by a Certified ASL Professional (exceptions may be made with proven work history and certifications)
- Complete all required documents in a timely manner
- Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments
- Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (We do not offer visa sponsorship)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
