About the role
- Maintain reliable quality by managing and coordinating language translation projects
- Serve as a single, dedicated point of contact for clients, translators, proofreaders, and other language and document professionals
- Coordinate, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of various translation projects
- Work closely with clients and vendors to ensure scope and direction of each project is on schedule
- Work independently and as part of a team and execute monthly goals
- Negotiate with linguists and communicate with them via telephone and email
- Timely follow-up on all pending issues and manage very fast-paced requests
- Execute the best approach for complex requests and troubleshoot project process issues
- Be flexible to accommodate existing/new requests and occasionally work after hours or weekends as needed
Requirements
- Prior translation project management experience is preferred
- Working as a translator experience is a plus
- Prior experience using software applications such as, but not limited to, XTRF, memoQ, Trello is preferred
- Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and/or Adobe InDesign is preferred
- Prior experience creating/manipulating PDF files, including the creation of bookmarks and thumbnails is a plus
- Excellent computer skills are required
- Excellent communication skills are required
