About the role
- Support insurance defense attorneys in General Liability and Personal Injury matters
- Manage attorney calendars and scheduling
- Capture attorney time and billing
- Draft legal documents including standardized letters, pleadings and reports
- Use Word, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint & Excel for document preparation
- Coordinate e-Service and e-Filing according to Florida court procedures
- Communicate and follow-up on items; work in a fast-paced evolving environment
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an Insurance Defense Legal Assistant
- Competent & proficient in the use of Word, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint & Excel
- Excellent communication skills, ability to follow-up on items and be detail oriented
- Manage attorney calendars/scheduling, capturing attorney time and drafting legal documents including standardized letters, pleadings and reports
- Must be task oriented
- Ability to work in a fast paced evolving environment
- Prior Insurance Defense General Liability and Personal Injury experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Florida Court procedures and familiarity with e-Service and e-Filing
