About the role

  • Oversee case production operations, including drafting client and legal correspondence documents
  • Lead case status team meetings with junior and senior Case Coordinators as needed
  • Monitor case timelines/deadlines and keep attorneys apprised of relevant timing issues
  • Assign cases and adjust workload allocation to ensure deadlines are met
  • Address productivity issues and proactively resolve impediments
  • Examine and address questions or case issues raised by Case Coordinators, providing guidance or escalating to attorneys
  • Function as a primary case reviewer for drafts/final submissions, spotting and addressing major case issues
  • Prepare case summaries and documents to support case preparation and assist attorney in client communication
  • Prepare and draft filings, including routine and advanced filings (RFE responses, complex fact patterns)
  • Facilitate communications between client and team as primary point-of-contact and provide case updates to clients
  • Provide training and mentorship to Case Coordinators and new team members
  • Establish working relationships with clients to ensure relevant communications on client accounts
  • Generate reports for case teams and oversee report generation for clients
  • Ensure team follows firm protocol for file maintenance, record-keeping and use of case management system
  • Support and lead additional projects and assist with ad-hoc administrative functions as required

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in all types of nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions
  • Demonstrated high level of competence in designated area of immigration law
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Willingness to take on added responsibilities and learn new things
  • Ability to show initiative and work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt quickly to firm-specific software
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
