Working across educational settings and communities, you’ll lead the development of our local AAC service, collaborating with regional and national partners to ensure best practice and equitable access to communication tools.
Deliver impactful training working directly with families, schools, and multidisciplinary professionals to remove barriers to learning and promote independence.
Manage funding requests, contribute to strategic planning, and ensure our services align with national guidance and commissioning frameworks.
Design and adapt AAC resources, contribute to reviews and tribunals, and engage with voluntary organisations to advocate for children and young people.

Augmented Communications Specialist

Help to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND in Gloucestershire

• As an Inclusion Partner, you will work directly with School Leaders, Staff, Governing bodies and multi-agency partners to: Review current practice, identify areas for development and embed new and enhanced ways of working.

• Develop action plans with clear intent that embed inclusive pedagogy and culture.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and professional development opportunities for school leaders.

We’re looking for someone with:
• Relevant senior leadership experience in a school or trust.
• A strong track record of driving whole school improvement and inclusive practice.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and change management skills.
• An understanding of managing complex SEND funding models and budgets
• Knowledge of the current challenges and opportunities within education landscape including Ofsted, the curriculum review, SEND Code of Practice, and inclusive pedagogy.
• The ability to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries and influence at all levels.
• Experience of working collaboratively with multi-agency partners
