About the role
- Develop and implement territory-specific medical education plans aligned with area strategy and market development goals
- Serve as the primary medical education liaison for assigned regions, ensuring alignment with local business and stakeholder needs
- Moderates medical education events by guiding discussions, engaging participants, and ensuring alignment with program goals
- Collaborate with field team to identify educational gaps and opportunities within designated territories
- Design and deliver high-quality educational content for live and virtual programs, including symposia, advisory boards, and peer-to-peer engagements
- Partner with regional KOLs, clinical educators, and healthcare institutions to co-create and disseminate educational initiative
- Lead regional KOL onboarding and development
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of regional education programs using qualitative and quantitative metrics.
- Provide strategic insights to inform future educational initiatives and contribute to broader medical affairs planning.
- Deliver support at key congress and society engagements
- Performs other reasonably related activities as requested.
- Executes key administrative functions, including documentation of field activities, submission of medical insights, proficiency in program selection and follow up with key initiatives
Requirements
- Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with thought leaders
- Ability to manage timelines, multiple priorities under time constraints
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment
- Highly organized, self-motivated and with strong abilities to analyze and resolve problems.
- Must be able to effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) in individual and group situations.
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, excel, and Outlook.
- This position is Western Region-based, requiring travel within the assigned territory
- Advanced degree in life sciences (Master’s, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) preferred.
- 4–6 years of experience in medical device education, sales, marketing, or clinical support.
- Prior medical device industry experience is essential; experience with orthopedic/neurosurgeons and orthobiologics preferred.
- Strong understanding of the medical device industry and physician education.
