About the role
- Accountable for day-to-day cash/transaction operations, reconciliation and related KPIs (TAT, productivity, capacity)
- Ensure Operations team processes and reconciles day-to-day transactions timely and accurately (disbursal, repayments, refunds)
- Innovate and improve operational processes and flows, including automation
- Streamline and standardize operations where applicable
- Assist Operations Manager to manage operational risk and take remedial action when required
- Implement initiatives for Singapore focused on operational needs (e.g. maximizing Virtual Accounts and APIs with local bank(s))
- Lead and participate in multi-functional ad hoc projects to improve operational efficiencies
- Partner with Finance, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure regulatory and standards compliance
- Maintain and supervise documentation of processes and decisions
- Cover operational gaps and handle ad hoc requests as required
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in ledger management or accounting (preferably with added experience in process optimization)
- Meticulous and detail-oriented especially in checking and submitting data on spreadsheets
- Able to see both the “larger picture” and the details
- Resilience and tenacity, not knocked down by difficult situations and times
- Independent worker who does not require excessive hand-holding
- Excited by enhancing operational efficiencies and productivity (e.g. do better, do faster, do less)
- Enjoy translating analysis results into actionable business recommendations
