About the role
- Meet or exceed established revenue goals for the Region.
- Direct management responsibility for sales Territory Managers, including performance management, skill development, coaching and mentoring of sales technique and territory management.
- Direct sales responsibility for designated customer groups within a specific geographic Region.
- Manage sales performance of direct reports as it involves opportunity and pipeline development, forecasting and revenue generation.
- Manage and monitor communication and team effectiveness occurring between sales, applications team and partner sales channels.
- Report all product, marketplace or staff related matters of concern to Zone Director.
- Establish and nurture luminary physician relationships within assigned Region.
- Attendance at and sales support for national and/or regional trade shows in which SonoSite and/or distribution partners participate.
- Miscellaneous projects as determined.
- Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system.
Requirements
- A. or B.S. in life sciences, business administration, related area or equivalent work experience.
- 5-7+ years professional outside sales experience, with proven track record of growing sales.
- Previous leadership or management experience required.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
- Experience in life sciences industry.
- Experience in the medical diagnostic ultrasound arena is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent customer interface and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to travel more than 50% of the time.
- Ability to lift 70 pounds.
