About the role
- Meet or exceed established revenue goals for the Region
- Direct management responsibility for sales Territory Managers, including performance management, skill development, coaching and mentoring of sales technique and territory management
- Direct sales responsibility for designated customer groups within a specific geographic Region
- Manage sales performance of direct reports as it involves opportunity and pipeline development, forecasting and revenue generation
- Manage and monitor communication and team effectiveness occurring between sales, applications team and partner sales channels
- Report all product, marketplace or staff related matters of concern to Zone Director
- Establish and nurture luminary physician relationships within assigned Region
- Attendance at and sales support for national and/or regional trade shows in which SonoSite and/or distribution partners participate
- Miscellaneous projects as determined
- Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system
Requirements
- A. or B.S. in life sciences, business administration, related area or equivalent work experience
- 5-7+ years professional outside sales experience, with proven track record of growing sales
- Previous leadership or management experience required
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics
- Experience in life sciences industry
- Experience in the medical diagnostic ultrasound arena is preferred
