Take ownership of calendering and drying operations to meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
Define process and equipment specifications for calendering and drying systems to meet performance, quality, and safety targets.
Partner with equipment suppliers and internal teams to support design reviews, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities.
Oversee equipment builds and ensure production lines scale effectively and operate with world-class consistency.
Own process documentation, operating parameters, and equipment standards to ensure consistency across shifts and lines.
Monitor and improve process performance using data-driven methods, including capability studies and reliability analysis.
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to implement preventive maintenance strategies and troubleshoot issues.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase uptime, reduce variability, and enhance process safety.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering with a focus on equipment specification, qualification, or sustaining.
Hands-on experience with web-based processes, calendering, drying, or other thermal/mechanical manufacturing operations.
Demonstrated ability to work with equipment vendors on design reviews, FATs/SATs, and system commissioning.
Strong foundation in equipment capability analysis, process control, and troubleshooting methods.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with experience writing technical documentation and operating standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Ability to work onsite from the listed work location (Weirton, WV).
