About the role

  • Structure and analyze complex strategic questions related to market dynamics, competitive threats, and growth opportunities to shape the Ford Blue strategy.
  • Drive the capital allocation process for Ford Blue, working with key internal partners to build robust business cases and financial models and ensuring investment decisions align with strategic priorities.
  • Analyze make-buy-partner decisions for key platforms, components, and technologies by modeling financial outcomes and assessing factors like quality, speed, and strategic fit.
  • Identify and scope opportunities for structural cost reduction by benchmarking competitor performance and analyzing internal operational and financial data.
  • Help develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), targets, and guardrails for Ford Blue to track progress and highlight risks and opportunities.
  • Serve as a key partner to the Truck, Utility, and Enthusiast general management teams and ensure alignment between their strategies and the overarching Ford Blue strategy.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Strategy and the Strategy & Transformation teams across the enterprise (Model e, Pro, etc.) to ensure a cohesive and mutually reinforcing enterprise strategy.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise presentations that communicate data-driven strategic recommendations and performance updates to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, economics, or a related field. (MBA or MS preferred.)
  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate finance, investment banking, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, conduct quantitative analysis, and develop data-driven insights using a hypothesis-led approach.
  • Strong financial modeling and business case development skills, with the ability to clearly articulate assumptions and sensitivities.
  • Proven ability to navigate large, matrixed organizations, quickly build credibility, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve interdependent goals.
  • Proven ability to deliver clear and persuasive recommendations to senior leadership through written narratives, verbal briefings, and presentation decks.
