About the role
- Responsible for growth and relationships of current customer accounts through personalized, proactive customer service
- Communicate professionally in person, over the phone, and via email to accounts and team members
- Track growth/decline of managed customer accounts and identify new opportunities
- Utilize TMS to enter bids and document communication with customers
- Provide customers with quick, effective solutions when problems arise
- Continuously build and increase industry knowledge
- Serve as main point of contact for customers
- Assist accounting department with invoicing problems
- Generate sales among existing customer accounts, including upselling and cross-selling
- Service multiple customer accounts concurrently, often meeting deadlines
Requirements
- High school Diploma Required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Minimum of two-years’ experience in logistics preferred
- Minimum of three-years’ experience in customer service preferred
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
- Passion for sales and the art of negotiation
- Self-starter mentality
- Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Strategically focused and persistent
- Ability to multitask while simultaneously building relationships
- Familiarity with TMS (Transportation Management System) and entering bids
- Ability to be main point of contact for customers
- Ability to generate sales among existing customer accounts, including upselling and cross-selling
