About the role
- Manage key relationships with regional leadership, vendors, and internal partners to drive inventory performance
- Oversee a team of Buyers and Purchasing Manager(s) for the Appliance Category nationwide
- Collaborate with Vendors and Category Management on plan to sell skus, obsolescence, and lead times
- Work with regions to meet working capital goals while meeting customer service requirements and increasing fill rates and service levels
- Communicate with Regional Purchasing Managers and Regional Inventory Managers about region updates and business strategy
- Provide solutions and recommendations to Regional Management for inventory and customer service issues
- Perform a range of procurement activities and monitor inventory and product shortages
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments
Requirements
- Previous Purchasing Management or Category Management/Sales experience (at least 5 years)
- Familiarity with using PowerBI Pro
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software
- Detail oriented and proven organization skills with a high level of accuracy
- Strong customer service skills and problem-solving proficiency
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and phenomenal communication skills
