Actuary

• Support the development and management of Ethos’ product and carrier strategy, including bringing new and innovative products to market by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with internal and external partners to identify opportunities to evolve existing products or modify product placement to maximize business economics.
• Determine insurance product pricing and features in cooperation with partner carriers, review pricing for new products and product enhancements, and assist in negotiation with carrier partners.
• Proactively monitor the competitive landscape and sales funnel performance to drive price and product enhancements; develop and execute appropriate pricing technology and methods.
• Develop and maintain detailed models of Ethos profitability and the impact of major profit levers for carrier partners; collaborate with Product Performance to establish pricing assumptions.
• Provide insights to the underwriting and user experience team to support and guide the continuous improvement of underwriting guidelines and requirements while improving the user journey.
• Deliver new products and product enhancements by gathering product, rate and rule requirements, developing and maintaining insurance product specifications, and reviewing filing requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of filings for regulatory authorities when needed, including actuarial memo, indication, and modeling-related supporting exhibits.
• Ensure achievement of pricing objectives by establishing measurement systems, influencing product routing and underwriting strategies, creating action plans to correct underperformance, identifying surplus carrier profit and ways to deploy the surplus for growth, and delivering performance overviews to carriers on a regular basis.

• Ethos: make getting life insurance easier, faster and better using technology and predictive analytics
• Shape the roadmap and build a robust pipeline of performance creative for paid social across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X
• Stay on top of trends and competitor strategies to identify breakout formats or platforms
• Conduct deep consumer research to translate audience insights into powerful ad messaging and value propositions
• Review all creative assets (copy and design) for message clarity, strategic alignment, and adherence to direct response best practices
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to the creative team and collaborate with media buying and growth teams to analyze ad performance
• Be detail-oriented and capable of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Lead the conceptual development and execution of video and TV campaigns, including scripts for :15 and :30 second spots
• Craft engaging and effective scripts for various video platforms, including YouTube, OTT, and paid social
• Develop scripts for user-generated content (UGC) and talking points for influencer and podcast host collaborations
• Collaborate with our internal creative team and external agencies to bring ideas to life, from initial concept to final production
