About the role
- Act as Deputy Manager at Dove Cottage, a three-bedroom children’s residential home
- Provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed therapeutic care to young people
- Deliver the highest quality residential care and support recreational activities tailored to children's interests
- Support children to achieve positive outcomes through nurturing, supportive care
- Work long shifts and undertake sleep nights as required; rotas provided in advance
- Promote equal opportunities and challenge discriminatory behaviour; follow Safer Recruitment Practices
- Participate in paid BILD accredited induction training and routes for professional progression
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Level 3 qualification in Child Care
- Have at least 12 months experience of working in Children's residential care
- Applicants must be over 21
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- Satisfactory Full Enhanced Disclosure, right to work and reference checks (company will cover the costs)
- Willingness to work long shifts (173 Hours per Month, 8am-11pm) including sleep nights
