About the role
- Lead strategic advisory projects and provide counsel on complex issues and reputation management
- Shape the wider team and drive development of the business
- Develop communications plans that build and preserve stakeholder confidence
- Lead integrated client teams, taking leadership, operational and coaching responsibilities
- Provide sophisticated counsel to senior clients on urgent issues and complex communications challenges
- Instil best practice client management and build relationships with senior client contacts
- Identify and respond to opportunities for organic growth across client base
- Grow existing and win new business, leading pitches and networking for leads
- Act as integral part of client’s strategic advisory team providing senior counsel across accounts
- Undertake senior team responsibilities including line management, training and development, marketing and shaping practice strategy
Requirements
- Proven track record at Director level or equivalent
- Confidence and gravitas to advise senior clients and business leaders on complex challenge
- Ability to lead accounts, overseeing teams delivering project and retainer work
- Crisis communications experience – both preparing clients to manage emerging issues and advising them during an incident
- Ambitious: excited to work with the team to evolve the corporate and crisis communications offer
- Deep understanding of the UK business media landscape
- Highly organised: able to run busy, integrated accounts and ensure team deliver effectively and efficiently
- Team player with great interpersonal skills and ability to bring a sense of fun to work
- Experience nurturing and converting opportunities and a proven track record of winning new clients and driving business development
- Marketing and new business experience
