Work cross-functionally and globally as part of the Regulatory Centre of Excellence, advising on regulatory requirements in food labelling, nutrition, health and marketing claims, composition, pesticides and contaminants.
Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of UK, EU and international food legislation.
Work with Tea Supply Chain and Commercial teams to ensure legal compliance of existing products and new products.
Ensure nutrition, health, and other marketing claims (including packaging end of life marketing claims such as recycling logos, biodegradability, certification schemes, etc) comply with appropriate regulations and advertising standards.
Ensure all ingredients and finished products are legally compliant for their intended markets of sale internationally.
Provide guidance on the legality of product labelling and conduct product label approvals to support Marketing teams’ activities.
Maintain regulatory databases and tools to ensure they remain current, accurate and fit for purpose.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in food science or other relevant scientific, technical or legal discipline.
At least 2 years’ experience in regulatory affairs in the food and beverage industry.
Practical knowledge of UK, EU and international food legislation and end of life packaging claim requirements.
Experience in providing regulatory advice to commercial teams.
