💰 £25,000 - £27,500 per year
About the role
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of revenue and costs
- Full ownership of Revenue and Billing Contract files, ensuring contracts are accurately reflected
- Complete month end activities, including full reconciliation of all invoicing and commission payments
- Process month end and year end journals within deadlines
- Ensure all revenue is recognised in line with revenue recognition policy/standards
- Take ownership of internal and external queries effectively and efficiently
- Seek improvements to processes and leverage technology for automation
- Provide weekly revenue updates to senior management team
- Support creation of monthly board packs
- Support with external audit queries
- Exposure to Credit Control tasks
- Reports to the Management Accountant
Requirements
- Someone from a finance background
- Understanding of revenue recognition, accruals, balance sheets
- Experience working in Corporate Finance teams
- Knowledge of using accounting software, ideally NetSuite
- Proficient in Excel (including lookups and pivot tables)
- Attention to detail with ability to spot numerical errors
- Professional with a positive "can do" attitude
- Adaptable and flexible team worker willing to undertake a wide range of activities
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally at all levels
- Ideal: Understanding of insurance broking and how commission works
- Must be based in the UK or Ireland; employer unable to offer visa sponsorship
