About the role
- Be a key member of the Global HQ Finance department of Actuation Technologies, a business unit within Emerson.
- Support communication and reporting between the team and leadership at World Regions and Actuation Technologies.
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual updates to the Actuation Technologies’ Financial Planning Cycle: monthly financial statement reporting, quarterly POR submission, annual forecast creation, financial reviews, board meetings, and profit plan.
- Consolidate world areas quarterly and annual supplemental reporting required by corporate.
- Drive and implement automation opportunities in regular financial reporting procedures.
- Collaborate with other functional areas within the organization during preparation of financial information.
- Compose, analyze, and review ad-hoc management inquiries of key financial metrics for decision support for senior leadership as requested.
- Occasionally required to work additional hours beyond regular schedule to meet critical deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar required.
- 2-5 years of work experience in Accounting or Finance field.
- Proven accounting and US GAAP knowledge.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with HFM is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, detail oriented and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate patience, perseverance, and flexibility.
- Ability to lead multiple projects.
- CPA certification or experience working for a CPA firm (preferred).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided.
