About the role
- Perform day to day accounting duties in AP, AR, cash management, payroll, FA, the GL and other duties as assigned.
- Assist with monthly close process by posting monthly journal entries, performing account reconciliations and ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Interface with external accountants during audits.
- Assist in maintaining regular contact and building solid working relationships with various groups to ensure a high level of customer service and work product.
- Assist on projects and ad hoc assignments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 4-6 years of progressive accounting/finance experience; ideally a public accounting/private industry mix.
- CPA certification or CPA eligible.
- Excellent knowledge of GAAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.).
- Must be trustworthy and confidential.
- Must have excellent communication skills and ability to present to senior management.
- Precision/detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Proven ability to identify and drive process/system improvements.
- Positive, energetic, optimistic attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
