About the role
- Provide essential support to the Controller in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and month-end flux analysis.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and assist with other financial reviews as necessary.
- Oversee and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training.
- Contribute to development and implementation of accounting policies, internal controls and best practices.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in ERP/accounting system upgrades and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist in preparation and analysis of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Lead certain accounting functions and contribute to overall financial strategy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to continuously learn and develop professionally.
- Active CPA license preferred
- Ability to travel up to 10%
