About the role
- Manage day-to-day HR functions, including HRIS system (BambooHR), employee engagement, policy interpretation, and employee life-cycle management.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Oversee onboarding, new hire integration, employee retention, and offboarding processes.
- Maintain HR compliance, stay updated on HR laws, and manage benefits enrollment.
- Lead and mentor HR staff; provide training and coaching to supervisors on performance management, growth opportunities, and corrective actions.
- Align HR practices with company Core Values and support a safety-first, inclusive culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or similar.
- 6+ years of HR experience in progressively responsible leadership roles may substitute for a degree.
- PHR Certification preferred.
- 4+ years in Human Resources leadership roles.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HR Generalist or Employee Relations.
- Experience in construction or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and business management techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal, active listening, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage time effectively and resolve complex issues.
- Experience with HRIS systems (BambooHR).
- Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and climb ladders to 20 feet.
