About the role
- Develop and close new business or expand footprint in current customers in an assigned geographic territory
- Acquire new customers and sell additional use cases, products and services into existing accounts
- Build and manage a sales pipeline through prospecting efforts into a geographic territory or within the core verticals
- Develop and deliver customized sales presentations and product demonstrations by phone and via online demo
- Develop and negotiate enterprise-level proposals and contracts
- Forecast sales activity and revenue achievements accurately through proper use of sales tools
- Collaborate effectively and engage various pre/post sales resources including Sales Development Representatives, Market Development Representatives, Solutions Engineers, Account Managers, Partner Account Managers, Legal, Security, Professional Services and Customer Support
- Accountable for exceeding monthly and quarterly quotas, proactive deal management, and forecast accuracy
- Individual contributor role reporting to the Regional Vice President, Majors
Requirements
- Basic BS/BA degree
- 5+ years of prior sales experience (Preferred 7+ years prior experience in a quota-carrying sales role)
- Proven success with prospecting, developing leads, managing complex sales-cycles, and closing deals in small-to-medium or mid-market accounts
- Proficient computer skills, including CRM tools, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Google Suite
- Strong business acumen including prior experience managing multiple concurrent client relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Comfortable with some ambiguity, demonstrating a willingness to learn and ramp quickly
- Experience with forecasting, pipeline management, and meeting/exceeding sales quotas
