About the role

  • Oversee the successful implementation and data migration of payroll systems for Deel’s clients
  • Lead and manage the full payroll implementation process, ensuring clients’ data is accurately transferred and systems are properly configured
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders; guide clients through setup, migration, support, and training
  • Organize and run kick off meetings; create, maintain and manage project plans to deliver successful roll-outs
  • Support project review calls (internal and external); coordinate and deliver on project streams; manage scope changes and delivery schedules
  • Define and set-up agreed client payroll processes; establish payroll and data requirements; ensure payroll calendars are managed timely
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and process documentation
  • Configure interfaces, reports and systems configurations to deliver parallel and live payroll for month 1 and 2 if applicable
  • Lead go-live transition, obtain sign-off and document client-specific needs; generate reports to analyze, audit, and reconcile payroll data
  • Map GL reports if required and act as point of contact for all payroll project matters for the client
  • Regular status reporting to senior leadership; escalate issues appropriately; schedule and attend weekly client calls to report on project status
  • Lead and manage end-to-end implementation of a global payroll system ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Gather requirements from HR, Finance, and other stakeholders; ensure compliance with local tax and labor laws
  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans; implement change management strategies to ensure seamless transitions

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across your designated location
  • Experience with payroll systems and software
  • Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently (applications requested in English)
  • Authorization to work in the country of residence (application requests legal work authorization)
  • Experience with VISMA (optional)
  • Experience processing end-to-end payroll implementations for Argentina (optional)
