About the role
- Organize and run kick off meetings and deliver payroll implementations
- Create, maintain and manage project plans for successful client roll-outs
- Coordinate project streams and manage scope changes and delivery schedules
- Define and set up client payroll processes and data requirements, manage payroll calendars
- Maintain detailed project documentation including status reports and process docs
- Configure interfaces, reports and systems for parallel and live payroll (month 1 and 2)
- Manage go-live transition, obtain sign-off and document client-specific needs and processes
- Generate reports to analyze, audit, and reconcile payroll data, map GL reports if required
- Act as point of contact for all payroll project matters and attend weekly client calls
- Provide regular status reporting to senior leadership and escalate issues as needed
- Lead end-to-end implementation of global payroll system ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery
- Gather requirements from clients and collaborate with HR, Finance and stakeholders
- Ensure payroll processes adhere to local tax and labor laws and keep up-to-date with changes
- Oversee data migration from legacy systems ensuring data accuracy and security
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans and implement change management strategies
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across your designated location
- Experience with payroll systems and software
- Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- English fluency (speak, read, and write)
