About the role

  • Oversee the successful implementation and data migration of payroll systems for Deel’s clients
  • Lead and manage the full payroll implementation process, ensuring accurate data transfer and proper system configuration
  • Work with onboarding team and clients to organize and run kick off meetings and deliver implementations
  • Create, maintain and manage project plans to deliver successful roll-outs
  • Support project review calls (internal and external) and manage changes to scope and delivery schedule
  • Define and set-up agreed client payroll processes and data requirements; manage payroll calendars
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and process documentation
  • Define, agree and configure interfaces, reports and system configurations for parallel and live payroll
  • Work with clients on go-live transition, sign-off and documentation; generate reports to analyze, audit and reconcile payroll data
  • Map GL reports if required
  • Act as point of contact for all payroll project matters and schedule weekly client calls to report status and escalate issues
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of a global payroll system, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Gather key requirements from clients and collaborate with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure payroll processes adhere to local tax and labor laws and keep up-to-date with changes
  • Oversee testing plans to identify and resolve system issues
  • Implement change management strategies to ensure seamless transitions for employees and HR teams

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations for Slovakian market
  • Have you processed end-to-end payroll implementations before for Croatia? (experience with Croatia implementations required)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across your designated location
  • Experience with payroll systems and software
  • Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
