About the role

  • Oversee successful implementation and data migration of payroll systems for Deel’s clients
  • Lead and manage full payroll implementation process, ensuring accurate data transfer and system configuration
  • Create, maintain, and manage project plans and run kick-off and status meetings
  • Support project review calls and coordinate project streams; manage scope and schedule changes
  • Define and set up client payroll processes and manage payroll calendars
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, status reports, and process documentation
  • Configure interfaces, reports and system settings; deliver parallel and live payroll runs
  • Manage go-live transition, client sign-off, validation, and payroll reconciliation reporting
  • Map GL reports when required and generate audit/reconciliation reports
  • Act as primary point of contact for payroll project matters and escalate issues to leadership
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure compliance
  • Develop and execute testing plans and implement change management strategies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across your designated location
  • Experience with payroll systems and software
  • Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience overseeing payroll data migration, testing, and reconciliation
  • Knowledge of local tax and labor law compliance
  • Fluency in English (application asks for English fluency)
