About the role
- Responsible for overseeing successful implementation and data migration of payroll systems for Deel’s clients
- Lead and manage full payroll implementation process, ensuring accurate data transfer and system configuration
- Work with onboarding teams and clients to run kick-off meetings and manage project plans
- Define client payroll processes, data requirements, and payroll calendars
- Configure systems, interfaces, reports and manage parallel and live payroll for month 1 and 2
- Produce documentation, status reports, and handle go-live transition and sign-off
- Generate reports to analyze, audit and reconcile payroll data; map GL reports if required
- Act as point of contact for payroll project matters and escalate issues to senior leadership
- Ensure payroll compliance with local tax and labor laws and develop testing and change management strategies
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across your designated location
- Experience with payroll systems and software
- Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
