About the role

  • Responsible for overseeing successful implementation and data migration of payroll systems for Deel’s clients
  • Lead and manage full payroll implementation process, ensuring accurate data transfer and system configuration
  • Work with onboarding teams and clients to run kick-off meetings and manage project plans
  • Define client payroll processes, data requirements, and payroll calendars
  • Configure systems, interfaces, reports and manage parallel and live payroll for month 1 and 2
  • Produce documentation, status reports, and handle go-live transition and sign-off
  • Generate reports to analyze, audit and reconcile payroll data; map GL reports if required
  • Act as point of contact for payroll project matters and escalate issues to senior leadership
  • Ensure payroll compliance with local tax and labor laws and develop testing and change management strategies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across your designated location
  • Experience with payroll systems and software
  • Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
