About the role

  • Oversee the successful implementation and data migration of payroll systems for Deel’s clients
  • Lead and manage the full payroll implementation process, ensuring accurate data transfer and proper system configuration
  • Collaborate with onboarding, HR, Finance, and external stakeholders to gather requirements and run kick-off and project review meetings
  • Create, maintain and manage project plans, documentation, status reports, and testing plans
  • Define payroll processes, configure interfaces/reports, and manage parallel payroll and month 1/2 live payroll if applicable
  • Manage go-live transition, sign-off, validation, and payroll reconciliation and auditing
  • Ensure payroll processes adhere to local tax and labor laws and implement change management and client training
  • Act as primary point of contact for payroll project matters and report status to senior leadership

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across your designated location
  • Experience with payroll systems and software
  • Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Fluent English
  • Fluent Spanish
