About the role
- Oversee payroll system implementations and data migrations for clients
- Lead and manage the full payroll implementation process, ensuring accurate data transfer and system configuration
- Organize and run kick-off meetings and create/maintain project plans to deliver successful roll-outs
- Support internal and external project review calls, coordinate project streams, and manage scope or schedule changes
- Define and set up agreed client payroll processes, payroll calendars, and data requirements
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including status reports and process documentation
- Configure interfaces, reports, and system settings to deliver parallel and live payroll runs
- Manage go-live transition, sign-off, validation, and payroll data analysis, audit, and reconciliation
- Map GL reports if required and generate required reports
- Act as primary point of contact for all payroll project matters and report status to senior leadership
- Schedule and attend weekly client calls to report project status, risks, actions, issues, and dependencies
- Ensure payroll processes adhere to local tax and labor laws and keep up-to-date with changes
- Oversee development and execution of comprehensive testing plans
- Implement change management strategies and provide ongoing client support and training
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance for Sweden
- Experience with payroll systems and software
- Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Fluent English required
- Fluent Swedish required
- Experience processing end-to-end payroll implementations for Sweden
- Authorization to work in Sweden / legally registered to work in your country
