About the role

  • Oversee successful implementation and data migration of payroll systems for Deel’s clients
  • Lead and manage the full payroll implementation process, ensuring accurate data transfer and proper system configuration
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders; guide clients through setup, migration, support and training
  • Project set-up: organize and run kick off meetings, create and maintain project plans to deliver successful client roll-outs
  • Client and Project Management: support project review calls, coordinate project streams, and manage scope or schedule changes
  • Define and set-up client payroll processes, establish payroll and data requirements, and manage payroll calendars
  • Maintain detailed project documentation including project plans, status reports, and process documentation
  • System set-up and parallel payroll process: configure interfaces, reports and systems for parallel and live payroll (month 1 and 2)
  • Go-live transition, sign-off and documentation; generate reports to analyze, audit, and reconcile payroll data
  • Map GL reports if required and act as point of contact for all payroll project matters
  • Schedule and attend weekly client calls, report project status, identify risks, actions, issues and dependencies, and escalate when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with local tax and labor laws and implement change management strategies
  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to identify and resolve system issues

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across your designated location
  • Experience with payroll systems and software
  • Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
