About the role
- Oversee successful implementation and data migration of payroll systems for Deel’s clients
- Lead and manage full payroll implementation process, ensuring accurate data transfer and system configuration
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to guide clients through setup and migration phases
- Organize and run kick-off meetings and create, maintain, and manage project plans
- Support project review calls and manage changes to scope and delivery schedule
- Define and set up client payroll processes and data requirements; manage payroll calendars
- Maintain detailed project documentation, status reports, and process documentation
- Configure interfaces, reports and systems for parallel and live payroll for month 1 and 2
- Manage go-live transition, obtain client sign-off, and document client-specific needs
- Generate reports to analyze, audit, and reconcile payroll data including GL mapping if required
- Act as primary point of contact for payroll project matters and report status to senior leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans and implement change management strategies
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance in Belgium
- Experience with payroll systems and software
- Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
