Build and execute a focused account strategy to acquire and grow mid-market clients across the region.
Own the entire sales cycle from initial contact to signed contract. Involve key internal experts (e.g. Solutions Consultants, Legal, Implementation, Product) to strengthen the pitch, resolve concerns, and bring the deal across the line.
Consistently close at least 5 new deals monthly, maintaining a 40% conversion rate from qualified opportunities.
Develop a healthy pipeline through strategic outreach, collaboration with SDRs, and management of inbound leads.
Navigate complex buying committees, including HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders: lead business case development and contract negotiations.
Work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Implementation, Product, and Legal teams to support seamless client onboarding and long-term value.
Maintain updated CRM data and provide accurate forecasting to ensure visibility into sales performance and deal progress.
Requirements
Geographically based in South Africa is required
5+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 1 year focused on mid-market clients
Demonstrated ability to close deals in complex environments involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
Proven track record of achieving 40%+ conversion rates and consistently closing 5+ logos/month
Excellent communication, negotiation, and consultative selling skills
Payroll, HR tech, or SaaS experience preferred
Self-starter who thrives in a high-performance, fast-paced environment
