About the role
- Drive new business within the Air Force and Army.
- Create and maintain a customer pipeline for consistent revenue goals.
- Achieve committed sales numbers on a quarterly basis.
- Collaborate with channel and OEM partners to enhance DDN's brand presence.
- Establish executive-level relationships with decision-makers in government agencies.
- Lead team-selling efforts for large, complex sales opportunities.
- Partner with Sales Engineers and technical support for seamless proposal development.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and updates to sales leadership.
- Manage customer relationships post-sale to ensure repeat business.
Requirements
- A BA or BS in a related field is required.
- 6–10 years of sales experience within the US Government sector.
- Proven sales track record in closing large transactions in the federal space.
- Established relationships with key government agencies like the Air Force and Army.
- Security clearances are a strong plus.
- Consistently in the top 25% of sales force in quota attainment.
- Proven ability to negotiate and close large, complex sales.
- Familiarity with DDN’s SAN/NAS appliance product lines is preferred.
