About the role

  • Drive new business within the Air Force and Army.
  • Create and maintain a customer pipeline for consistent revenue goals.
  • Achieve committed sales numbers on a quarterly basis.
  • Collaborate with channel and OEM partners to enhance DDN's brand presence.
  • Establish executive-level relationships with decision-makers in government agencies.
  • Lead team-selling efforts for large, complex sales opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales Engineers and technical support for seamless proposal development.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and updates to sales leadership.
  • Manage customer relationships post-sale to ensure repeat business.

Requirements

  • A BA or BS in a related field is required.
  • 6–10 years of sales experience within the US Government sector.
  • Proven sales track record in closing large transactions in the federal space.
  • Established relationships with key government agencies like the Air Force and Army.
  • Security clearances are a strong plus.
  • Consistently in the top 25% of sales force in quota attainment.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close large, complex sales.
  • Familiarity with DDN’s SAN/NAS appliance product lines is preferred.
