Provide a broad range of IT support for teams and end users at CoreSite Headquarters in downtown Denver
Assist Technical Support Specialists with end-user support for computers, printers, phone systems, and enterprise end user needs
Assist team in providing support to end users experiencing operational, hardware, application, or network connectivity problems
Assist with computer/peripheral inventory, organization, shipping, receiving, data entry, and deskside support
Assist with setting up desktops/laptops, software, and access for new hires
Assist with enhancing and updating documentation on business processes and technologies to improve end-user support
Assist compliance, information security, systems, and network teams on tasks, changes, projects, or other duties as assigned by Manager of Technical Support
Gain exposure and baseline ability on tech support tools and controls: Active Directory (creating users, distribution lists, security groups), Office 365 Admin, IP phone configuration, imaging and deploying software, remote user support, troubleshooting hardware/software, information security best practices, visual/audio support, ticketing system, time management and teamwork
Gain exposure to systems tasks: physical and virtual server builds and management, storage area network (SAN), Windows and Linux server OS, virtualization, and common corporate applications
Gain exposure to network tasks: WAN routing, layer 2 switch configuration, VLANs, wireless concepts, network device tracking/troubleshooting, and physical network cabling
Work part-time (~20 hours/week) for a 6-month internship period, reporting to Manager of Technical Support
Requirements
Able to work in-person in downtown Denver office (role is not remote)
Able to work 3-5 days/week in-office during normal business hours for a 6-month period
Team and customer service orientation; works well as part of a group
Ability to learn and follow predefined support processes to complete tasks
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and high achievement environment with a strong work ethic
Grace under pressure and a sense of urgency that puts the customer first
Junior or Senior in college or trade school program required (Senior preferred)
Currently enrolled in trade school or college program with technology or IT focus
Experience with Microsoft products (Windows 10, Office Suite / O365) or general networking is a plus
Experience with desktops, laptops, printers, and similar hardware technologies is a plus
Certifications are a plus (Microsoft, Cisco, A+, Security+, etc.)
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; employer will not sponsor work visas
Successful completion of a background check and, where permitted by law, a 5-panel drug test (THC, opiates, PCP, cocaine, amphetamines) upon offer
Physical ability to occasionally stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop or kneel; occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds
