About the role
- Serve as an Enterprise Business Development Representative engaging DACH customers and prospects
- Act as one of the first touch-points for customers and represent the Contentful brand
- Research and understand the marketplace and how Contentful drives digital transformation and customer experiences
- Gain in-depth knowledge of customers, industry, and Contentful’s solution offering
- Manage campaigns and reach out to new prospects via outbound prospecting, calling, emailing, and social outreach
- Lead generation activities including strategic research on LinkedIn and other hunting tools
- Send weekly activity reports to sales leadership
- Collaborate with assigned Account Executives and hand off qualified prospects
- Educate AEs on complete qualification meeting details (SLAs)
- Meet or exceed opportunity and pipeline targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Build relationships with decision-makers and key executives across industries
Requirements
- 1-2 years of work experience preferred; previous SDR/BDR experience is highly advantageous
- Language fluency in English and German is mandatory
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Seeks to understand the customer’s needs, objectives and challenges
- Ability to proactively qualify customer needs
- Ability to understand the business opportunity and articulate it to the AE team
- Ability to build rapport with prospects, colleagues and other stakeholders
- Self starter, pro-actively takes action to move the conversation forward
- Willingness to travel (up to 10%)
- Ability to follow set processes, update relevant systems diligently, and suggest improvements
- Detail oriented and data driven
- Ability to work with standard software such as Salesforce
- Interest in technology and willingness to learn about Contentful's solutions
