About the role
- Lead a team of entry level to experienced sales professionals focused on closing new business aligned to the Go-To-Market Strategy (GTMS)
- Design and execute sales processes and achieve sales targets
- Set goals and objectives for team members to achieve operational results
- Supervise support and professional level colleagues
- Ensure policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders
- Lead and prioritize daily activities of the team
- Manage, mentor, and coach to develop a collaborative and dynamic team
- Coordinate cross-functional communication to align on initiatives and strategies
- Evaluate prospect needs and demonstrate ConnectWise products and solutions
- Manage prospect relationships from initial contact to closure
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending tradeshows and professional associations
- Meet with key clients and mentor sales representatives to maintain relationships and negotiate and close deals
- Assist with identifying and setting annual business unit and territory plans
- Identify key trends in the market and project expected sales volume and profit
- Work with the Sales team to maximize conversion of leads to contracts
- Manage efficiency and effectiveness of sales processes, including proposal generation and contract creation and processing
- Monitor selling prices, analyze costs, competition, and supply and demand
- Maximize new business development opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent business experience
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- 2+ years of managerial experience
- Experience presenting key materials, negotiating with partners, and building strong interpersonal relationships
- Preferred: Experience coordinating trade and customer events
- Exceptional leadership and customer service skills
- Willingness to work in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills to give the team direction
- Professional presence suitable for interaction in meetings, in-person, or via email, as well as at internal and external facing events
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- General ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products
- Ability to interact positively and effectively with peers, subordinates, management, and external business contacts
- Ability to work effectively across multiple business units and target markets to drive results
- Ability to select, coach, and, when necessary, dismiss staff
- Willingness/ability to travel 15-25%
