About the role

  • Complete weekly visits to monitor and assess daily operations of each store location for SOP adherence
  • Ensure stores are compliant with all cannabis regulations (e.g., METRC, DCC, CDTFA and local ordinances) in partnership with Compliance
  • Implement and train store teams to SOP standards to ensure consistent execution across locations
  • Optimize inventory management and product flow, minimizing shrinkage and ensuring consistent salesfloor replenishment and product availability
  • Perform check-ins with onsite security to ensure adherence to guidelines and SOPs
  • Establish, train, and monitor best practices in daily inventory management
  • Build strong working relationships to support store leadership and inventory teams; create and follow up on action plans to address issues
  • Establish priorities, focus areas and provide direction to retail teams to address opportunities
  • Oversee product inventory location management and organization for efficient reordering
  • Notify store staff of new procedures, policies and regulatory updates
  • Direct training, implementation and execution of SOPs with store management and conduct regular evaluations and internal audits including mock DCC audits
  • Exemplify a culture of accountability, compliance, and team partnership
  • Conduct regular training and check-ins on inventory process improvements and compliance protocols
  • Collaborate with Store Leadership to prioritize focuses and create action plans to improve operational risks
  • Oversee store cycle counts adjustments monthly and address issues with action plans
  • Direct and support staff scheduling to ensure customer experience is protected
  • Establish and maintain supplies ordering according to budget guidelines and seek opportunities to decrease operational expenses
  • Assemble and analyze weekly product reports; monitor product velocity, sell-through rate, and aging
  • Create action plans with store Inventory Manager to improve inventory shrink results
  • Monitor and ensure store teams manage expired products and waste appropriately
  • Contribute to operational and strategic planning and assist in setting quarterly goals
  • Report concerns to Retail Leadership and Compliance and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Ensure all staff are trained and up to date on legal and safety practices in accordance with state and local cannabis laws
  • Assist with store inventory team scheduling for efficient deliveries and inventory tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • High school or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years supervising non-exempt employees
  • Previous experience in a management role with hiring/firing authority preferred
  • 3-5 years of senior leadership experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, food service, or a related field
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Must be able to work a variety of hours including mornings, nights, and weekends
  • Travel requirements on a weekly and monthly basis between store locations
  • Excellent computer and mathematics skills; experience working in Microsoft Excel required
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with excellent organization skills
  • Experienced relationship with internal team and external partners
  • Comfort with a fast-paced environment and changing requirements
  • Comfortable learning new technologies
  • Aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
