About the role
- Achieve territory sales objectives by cultivating business partnerships with key decision makers
- Target Endourology customers by selling and servicing Coloplast’s implantable and single use surgical devices
- Develop and execute clear strategic plans to maximize territory and company objectives
- Analyze key sales and marketing data to determine best opportunities in the territory
- Understand customer environment (clinical, financial, and key decision makers) and their challenges/opportunities
- Advance the sales process with targeted accounts and meet/exceed product line targets
- Conduct cost/benefit analysis and understand financial business models
- Demonstrate consultative selling skills and present value propositions including financial and clinical impact
- Plan daily call routines and account penetration; utilize marketing directives, sales reports, education materials, and national contracts
- Build and maintain long-term relationships to retain and grow business within target accounts
- Develop productive cross-functional relationships and educate peers on product categories
- Attend and participate in industry-related training/meetings/events for business development
- Interact frequently with healthcare professionals and be present during procedures as requested while following operating room protocols
- Maintain CRM records, sales reporting, forecasting, inventory and expense management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred with 3+ years of med tech sales experience OR 2 year associate degree with 5+ years of med tech sales experience OR 7+ years of med tech sales experience
- Minimum 5 years successful medical sales experience selling to physicians
- Urology background and implantable device sales preferred
- Proficient in relationship and consultative selling skills
- Proficient interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient in negotiating, analytical, oral and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and follow through
- Exceptional listening skills
- Valid driver’s license required (driving is a requirement)
- Ability to work independently, high initiative, and results orientation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel overnight (30-50%)
- Demonstrates effective time and territory management skills and administrative capabilities
- Must complete healthcare facility credentialing requirements to meet access requirements
