About the role

  • Manage consumer centric marketing efforts for Co-op’s food business line and deliver results on shelves, signs, and screens across the Co-op Retailing System.
  • Develop and execute a strategic media mix including traditional and digital media to support centralized marketing campaigns and programs targeted toward food consumers.
  • Collaborate with operations, category management, food promotions, and marketing stakeholders to develop in-store experience and digital strategy.
  • Work closely with strategic business units and local Co-ops to ensure central marketing meets their needs and is efficiently executed at the local level.
  • Provide clear communication and guidance to local Co-ops in execution of central marketing campaigns through stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
  • Lead development and implementation of Seasonal campaigns, Store Brands Marketing strategies, and Fresh Department Marketing Strategies.
  • Measure effectiveness of marketing strategies and apply learnings to continuously improve business results and consumer engagement.
  • Report to the Manager, Consumer Marketing and work with marketing professionals, commodity leaders, and local Co-op partners.

Requirements

  • 6-9 years of relevant progressively responsible marketing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, preferably majoring in marketing (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Experience in retail management or operations (considered an asset).
  • May be required to complete a criminal record check in accordance with FCL policies.
