About the role
- Establish and grow Clio’s engineering presence in APAC
- Define and execute technical strategy that supports Clio’s international expansion
- Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with engineering managers and individual contributors
- Hands-on engineering: deep dive into technology and code to get things done
- Partner with Product Management and Product Design to envision, develop, and execute product roadmap
- Work closely with Recruiting and People teams to recruit and hire top talent
- Navigate challenges of transitioning document handling systems for scalability and efficiency
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence across teams
Requirements
- Experienced director or senior engineering leader
- Comfortable pushing code to production when necessary
- Proven track record in scaling services and systems for scalability and resilience
- Skilled at managing and mentoring engineering managers and individual contributors
- Experience in crafting long-term technical strategies and roadmaps
- Experience running agile organisations at scale with urgency to deliver quality software
- Ability to foster positive culture and diversity across large engineering organisations
- Experience recruiting and hiring senior engineering talent
- Bonus: Experience in B2B SaaS
- Bonus: Experience with international expansion
- Bonus: Familiarity with compliance or regulatory requirements in global markets
- Bonus: Background in scaling engineering teams from the ground up to high-performing organisations
