Paralegal

• Provide support to the Legal Department in various legal matters
• Assist the Legal Department in drafting of contracts and other legal documents
• Perform research of legal information from readily available sources
• Act as a liaison between Legal Department, outside counsel, internal customers, and/or vendors
• Maintain confidentiality toward patients/families, colleagues, internal customers, and in sensitive situations
• Draft, prepare, and process correspondence, announcements, memos, reports, and spreadsheets
• Coordinate with organizational representatives and vendors to acquire necessary information for contracts and legal documents

Attorney

• Drafts, prepares, and processes correspondence, announcements, memos, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Coordinates with Organization departmental representatives and vendors to acquire background and preliminary information necessary for contracts and other legal documents; review certain contracts and other legal documents and assist an attorney in determining whether necessary provisions are contained therein.
• Utilizes technical information to make an independent decision and recommendation to the supervising attorney.
• Discusses agreement matters with appropriate Organization representatives, managers and/or vendors.
• Functions as a liaison between in-house counsel, outside counsel and internal and external customers in a variety of activities, actions and projects.
• Meets regularly with in-house counsel to discuss current matters and projects.
• Analyzes and tabulates data.
• Manages and maintains contract management database.
• Manages and completes credentialing requests from managed care organizations.
• Maintains professional growth and development, and professional certifications, if applicable, through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Staff Attorney

Recruitment

• Meets with managers to identify staffing needs and objectives, review job descriptions and position details.
• Sources candidates through contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, outside recruiting partners, job fairs, direct mailers, social media, and internet sites.
• Screens candidates via telephone to ensure they meet Company and job requirements and schedules qualified candidates to interview with hiring managers.
• Manages hires through the full life cycle recruiting process in the Applicant Tracking System.
• Calculates experience and make offers to candidates that managers select for hire, transitioning them seamlessly to the HR Service Center for onboarding. Maintains regular follow-up with candidates.
• Provides new manager training regarding the interview and selection process and use of the Applicant Tracking System.
• Assists with budget preparation, finding cost effective means of recruiting, and reviews invoices related to hiring staff.
• Assists with weekly and monthly recruiting reports and metrics.
• Maintains working knowledge of applicable employment laws, trends and processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Talent Acquisition Specialist

Accounts Payable

• The Accounts Payable Representative is responsible for ensuring accurate payments to vendors/providers which includes processing invoices/claims, conducting research, obtaining approval, recordkeeping, and maintaining vendor/provider relationships.
• Process invoices/check requests using automated AP system
• Enters vouchers into AP system and reviews for accuracy.
• For employee expense reports, make sure all receipts are attached and adheres to policy.
• Assigns correct affiliate/GL account coding to each voucher.
• Assigns approver and submits for approval.
• Adds any voucher that requires special attention to the special handling log.
• For new vendors, obtains a copy of the vendors’ W-9 as well as ACH information for proper set-up into the system.
• Communicates with vendors and teams with regards to problems/questions concerning invoices.
• Updates all required logs.
• Reviews system queues/reports to ensure all invoices are being paid in a timely manner.
• Assists with annual 1099 process.
• Efficiently and accurately analyzes claim submissions to determine whether the claim should be accepted, rejected, approved or denied for payment based on the legally binding agreement and/or fee schedules and the patient conditions.
• Resolves pended claims, secondary review claims and prior approval requests.
• Reviews and addresses provider inquiries regarding claim adjudication, including incoming phone calls, correspondence, and appeals.
• Research requests for overpayment/underpayment efficiently and accurately, submit data and resolution to the supervisor for final determination.
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of third-party billing and reimbursement requirements.

Accounts Payable Representative

Collections

• Prepares and submits accurate billing to third party payor’s and self-pay invoices.
• Identifies and resolves billing clearinghouse rejections.
• Conducts root cause analysis on unpaid accounts receivable (AR) and resolves with third party payor’s.
• Analyzes and resolves credit balances.
• Handles incoming and outgoing customer service calls to third party payor’s, outside providers and patients/guarantors to resolve and achieve account resolution.
• Processes correspondence.
• Initiates and resolves technical denial appeals.
• Identifies payor denial and cash fluctuation trends and escalates as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Hospice Billing and Collections Representative

Bilingual

• Responsible for increasing access to care primarily in the program assigned
• Identify and increase referral sources to meet organizational access to care goals
• Utilize various resources and educational techniques to enhance referrals
• Provide community education when requested or approved by direct report
• Ensure referral sources choose a Hope Healthcare program for their patients or residents
• Achieve monthly and quarterly access goals for assigned program
• Execute a weekly, monthly and quarterly strategy to increase market share
• Document daily sales calls and maintain accurate information regarding referral partners

PACE Program Liaison, Bilingual – English/Spanish

Manager

• Provides and manages direct care to patients and families as part of Interdisciplinary Group (IDG), incorporating psychosocial, spiritual, cultural, physical and biological components, and appropriate nursing intervention and follow-up
• Coordinates the Plan of Care, ensuring that an individualized Plan of Care is developed that accurately reflects the patient’s evolving needs
• Educates patient, family, caregivers and other health professionals about disease process and decline, palliative interventions, care giving, dying process and safety practices
• Reports changes in the patient’s condition to appropriate members of the IDG or other health professionals
• Participates with the IDG to evaluate hospice referrals/admissions for level of care appropriateness
• Attends patient deaths; prepares body for transport; oversees disposal of medications
• Provides appropriate bereavement interventions to the family and caregiver in conjunction with psychosocial staff
• Communicates accurately and completely to physicians, staff members, patients, families, and supervisors; utilizes positive approaches when working with others
• Supervises patient care given by other nursing team members (i.e., LPNs, Hospice Aides, and contract nurses)
