About the role

  • Drive top-line growth by closing new Inventory business from targeted automotive dealers
  • Identify and define a growth strategy in the market for the business
  • Consistently exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Manage the sales process end to end and proactively coordinate internal teams to ensure implementation completion
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of CDK applications and their functionality
  • Work in conjunction with channel partners to increase sales opportunities in CDK Strategic Products
  • Maintain accurate records and forecast in Salesforce CRM leveraging the 9 steps of the Influencing the Decision℠
  • Achieve annual assigned sales plan working under guidance of the Director of Sales
  • Travel approximately 75% with weekly overnight travel
  • Cover assigned territory including CO, UT, NE, MO, KS, MN, MT, SD, ND, WY

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years automotive dealership experience, as a GM, GSM, or Used Car Manager; preferably in a high-volume store
  • OR Minimum of 5 years in an outside sales B2B new business development role, selling inventory software
  • Experience using consultative solution selling to align client’s business needs with a solution
  • Experience growing market share through conquest sales
  • Must be able to negotiate and close major sales opportunities with executive level clients
  • Advanced presentation skills incorporating strong sales techniques
  • Excellent closing and negotiating skills
  • Ability to travel 75% or more with weekly overnight travel
  • Experience selling Enterprise-Wide Software Solutions (preferred)
