About the role
- Serve as a customer-focused leader overseeing day-to-day operations of a student housing community.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing on-site team; foster collaborative, positive culture.
- Oversee leasing, maintenance, customer service, and vendor management; implement systems to drive efficiency.
- Supervise maintenance and contracted services to maintain curb appeal, cleanliness, and safety.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
- Maintain occupancy at or above 99% and collections at or above 98% of potential income.
- Maximize Net Operating Income through cost control, revenue generation, and budgeting.
- Use property management systems (e.g., Entrata) and analyze financial reports; manage payroll, invoicing, and hiring documentation.
- Develop and execute marketing plans; track leasing goals and conduct market research.
- Plan resident events and collaborate with local schools and student organizations for outreach.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred OR 2–5 years of experience in student or multifamily housing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Property management software experience (Entrata preferred).
- Working knowledge of market rate and LIHTC programs.
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and EEO laws.
- Strong skills in staff recruitment and development, financial management, marketing strategy, scheduling, and operational oversight.
- Ability to ensure staff training in landlord/tenant statutes, Fair Housing, and safety regulations.
- Willingness to undergo criminal background and drug screening.
