About the role

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support across HR, Recruitment, and Training functions
  • Maintain accurate employee records on Bridges Online (BOL) and other HR systems
  • Assist with onboarding paperwork, inductions, and employee file management
  • Prepare HR letters, contracts, and correspondence
  • Provide first-line support for employee queries with guidance from HR colleagues
  • Support HR reporting and monitoring (absence, training, etc.)
  • Draft and post job adverts and coordinate interviews and candidate communications
  • Maintain recruitment trackers, perform pre-employment checks, references, and offer paperwork
  • Support onboarding of agency workers and subcontractors ensuring compliance
  • Coordinate training bookings and logistics; keep training records and certification logs updated
  • Assist with induction processes, apprenticeships, graduate programmes, and development initiatives

Requirements

  • Enthusiastic and keen to develop a career in HR
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Friendly, approachable, and able to work as part of a team
  • Some office administration experience desirable, but not essential
  • GCSEs (including English and Maths) required; A-levels or equivalent desirable
  • Interest in working towards a CIPD qualification or other HR-related training (support will be provided)
