About the role
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding bills, insurance claims, and payment status
- Review and interpret EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) and explain them to patients
- Manage patient billing, collections, and payment processing
- Collaborate with insurance providers to resolve claim issues and discrepancies
- Utilize billing software (MergeRIS experience preferred) to process and track billing activities
- Provide accurate and timely customer support to patients, ensuring a positive service experience
- Assist with reporting, reconciliation, and documentation of billing activities
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in medical billing and customer service
- Radiology billing experience required
- Proficiency with MergeRIS; familiarity with Imagine software is a plus
- Strong knowledge of patient billing, insurance claims, EOBs, and collections
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and service-driven mindset
- Work-from-Home Device Requirement: Personal computer with Intel Core i5 or higher, or AMD Ryzen 5 or higher
- Work-from-Home Internet Requirement: Wired connection with at least 50 Mbps download speed and a backup connection
- Work Environment Requirement: Quiet, well-lit space with minimal background noise
